If you’ve read any of my other blog posts, you’ll most likely be relieved to hear that I am now into my last week of my 10,000 steps a day challenge. I’ve already met today’s target of steps so can potentially stay seated for the rest of the day. I’ve exceeded my fundraising target already, which is great, but as I’ve somehow managed to set up two different pages, one is still below target. It will be good to see if I can get enough support to exceed the target on that page, too.
As well as racking up steps today, I’ve also added to the word count of my essay for my uni course. My colleague came over fairly early this morning and we got a good couple of hours done. I’ve got more of an idea of where I’m going with the assignment so am feeling more positive about getting it done. As I’m a glutton for punishment, I’ve also decided to carry on studying and do an MA. I am sure that I will rue this decision several times over the coming months, but I am enjoying the process of learning and self-improvement.
I’ve indulged in some lovely self care today. So that I could get some steps in, I walked around a local park. I enjoyed looking at the ducks, trees and flowers as I walked. It was also a very pleasant spot to do some reading. I enjoyed a coffee and a view of the lake as I read a few chapters of one of the Carnegie nominees. It was very nice indeed.
