I’m two thirds of the way through my walking challenge and met my target much more easily today. I also met a deadline without stress and got other work stuff done. I’ve seen my family and done some life stuff. I feel like I’m moving forward today.
Tomorrow brings more life stuff – my rescheduled car service after it was booked on for the wrong date – and a busy day in work. I’m going to have to make a conscious effort to get my steps up during the day. It’s a challenge, but I feel like I’m making progress. Wednesday gets called hump day, and I do feel like I’m coming down the other side of the hill.
My next break from work is in sight. Next week is the long bank holiday weekend which also heralds the end of my step challenge. It will be strange not to have to get to 10,000 steps every day, but I do want to keep up my evening walk. Even when it’s a struggle, the fresh air and activity do make me feel better in myself.
When I leave for work tomorrow, I’ll be making sure that I have a book with me to keep me occupied whilst the car is being looked at. It will be a treat to have some uninterrupted reading time to get through another Carnegie novel.
